CONGLOMERATE SPACE STATION 3 (CSSTAT-3)

BRIEF
CSSTAT-3 “Scientia” began as the “Conglomerate braintrust” outside of primary business concerns. The external dome was constructed before that of CSSTAT-2 “Eminus” for the precise reason the latter was erected. The embarrassment of the “Merlin Incident” paled in comparison to the anger felt from shareholders that such a high value asset had been lost in such a preventable manner.

The moon provided mankind’s first practical ventures into Zero-G Sciences (Z-Sciences). CSSTAT-3, with its massive size and multiple gravity zones, would provide an accelerated means of R&D for materials sciences in particular, which in turn would amplify every avenue of science under study. The best and the brightest are sought through rigorous standardized testing across the entire spectrum of the population, be they on orbital platforms, MECs, or the planet’s surface. Any deemed of adequate intelligence and future value to the Conglomerate was relocated to Station 3 to further their studies. It was one such pupil, Axelon 1001-3200-5692 future Technicia Scientia recipient, who created the molecular CSSTAT-2 retrofit mechanisms. Public cost savings estimates are in the trillions of credits.

DECK DIVISIONS

CSSTAT-3 is heavily focused on all forms of research and development with a full 50% of its deck capacity dedicated to specialized labs and study functions. Anterior deck levels 320-651 are POD-friendly, detachable units used to contain some of the more potentially dangerous experiments. Due to the countless military applications under development, the exact layout of CSSTAT-3 is unknown to any but specially vetted maintenance staff and chief design architects.
